ベランダのミニ薔薇が一輪だけ咲きました!🌹
一輪の可憐な姿があまりに可愛くて、嬉しくて水彩で画面いっぱいに描いてみました。
今回の記事では、私が愛用しているウィンザー＆ニュートンの水彩絵の具の特徴、ミニバラを描くのにぴったりな色を5つご紹介します🎨

🎨試してみたい色として注目しているのは…
「キナクリドン」は、20世紀半ばに発見された合成有機顔料で、
とにかく発色が美しく、透明感が高く、しかも色あせにくいスーパースター顔料です。
なので、「Quinacridone Magenta」は、最近とても気になっている色。
シックな薔薇や、陰影の表現にすごく良さそうで、次の作品ではぜひ試してみたいと思っています✨
Quinacridone Goldも、バラの周りの空気感や背景にぴったり。
ゴールドなのに派手すぎず、自然な暖かさがあって、ミニバラの繊細さを引き立ててくれそうです🌹

葉の部分は、サップグリーンに、ウルトラマリンの青みをに混ぜて。
花びらで主に使用した色は、オペラローズ。とても鮮やかな、はっとするようなピンク色です。
それに透明感をプラスするため、トランスペアレントイエローを少し。
薔薇の花が大好きなので、ミニ薔薇なことを忘れて、気が付いたら画面いっぱいに描いていました！
おわりに
花を描く時の色選びは、まるで香水を選ぶみに、ワクワクします。
気分や季節、その日の自分の気持ちで、色の表情が変わるからこそ、「好き」と思える色を持っておくのって大切だなって思います。

One pigment I’ve been really curious about lately is Quinacridone.
Discovered in the mid-20th century, quinacridones are synthetic organic pigments that are incredibly vivid, transparent, and resistant to fading—a real superstar in the watercolor world!
So naturally, Quinacridone Magenta has caught my eye.
Its rich tone and transparency seem perfect for moody roses and expressive shadows. I’m excited to feature it in my next piece!
Quinacridone Gold also feels like the perfect match for backgrounds and atmosphere.
It brings a natural warmth without being flashy—just right for highlighting the softness of mini roses. 🌼
🖌 My Painted Mini Rose
In this piece, I mainly used Opera Rose for the petals—a striking pink that really pops.
For the leaves, I mixed in a cool blue like Ultramarine, and added a bit of Transparent Yellow to keep the colors light and airy.
I love roses so much that I completely forgot this was a mini rose and ended up painting it huge—filling the entire page! 😆
